Sound Machine Directors
Christian Holzer is the founding director of the Stafford Sound Machine.  Starting the program with only 35 members, he has guided its growth to nearly 300 members.  Mr. Holzer is in his 9th year of teaching.  He taught previously in the Garland and Lewisville ISD’s where he was part of some of the best programs in DFW.  Since opening, the Sound Machine has received “Superior” ratings every year at UIL as well as being named “Best in Class” in numerous Festivals.     The Sound Machine was also named a “Winning” Band in the National Windband  Honors Project.  

Mr. Holzer enjoys each and every day he is able to share the gift of 
music with young adults.    He believes that the gift of music is some-
thing that can be enjoyed a lifetime.  Interests include being an active 
performer in the DFW area, including his church where he is a member 
of the Praise Team.  He is also a HUGE baseball fan, having seen games 
in 16 different stadiums.  Mr. Holzer resides in Garland with his “girls” - 
Kathryn (wife), Nicole (daughter) and Brown (dog). 
 
Mr. Holzer teaches the Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone and Double Reed (Oboe & Bassoon) classes.  He is the primary teacher for the Honors Band and assists with the Symphonic and Concert Bands.

Benjamin Kelly is in his 4th year of teaching.  He began his teaching career opening Stafford Middle School and has seen the program grow from 35 students to nearly 300.  Mr. Kelly is a graduate of the University of North Texas where he performed in the Concert, Brass, and 2 o’ Clock Lab Band.    Mr.         
                                            Kelly’s bands have received “Superior” ratings at UIL as well as numerous     
                                            festivals.  His Jazz Band has performed at many prestigious events and has been     
                                            named “Best in Class” at the Collin Jazz Fest.
                                        
                                                                  Mr. Kelly resides in Plano with his wife Carolise and their dog Boomer.
                                           
                                            Mr. Kelly teaches the Trumpet and French Horn classes.  He is the primary teacher         
                                            for the Symphonic Band as well as the Spartans of Swing (SOS) Jazz Band and assists with the Honors and Concert Bands.

Kristin Lane is in her 2nd year of teaching both at Stafford Middle School.  Ms. Lane is a graduate of West Texas A&M University and her principle instrument is the trombone.  

Ms. Lane guided Advanced Band Gold to their first UIL “Sweepstakes” last year.  In addition, Gold Band earned “Superior” rating at last year’s Peak Festival.         
                                          
Ms. Lane resides in Frisco and enjoys spending time with her fiance Ben.
                                           
Ms. Lane teaches the Trombone and Low Brass (Tuba & Euphonium) classes.  She is the primary teacher         
for the Concert Band and assists with the Honors and Symphonic Bands.

Ronnie Lacour is in his 4th year of teaching.  Before joining the Stafford team he was the assistant director at Centennial High School in Frisco.

Mr. Lacour has had tremendous success at both the middle school level as well as the high school level with his drumlines.       
                                      
Mr. Lacour teaches the Percussion classes as well as coordinates the percussion sections of Honors, Symphonic, and Concert Bands.
